Exuding French café culture, Le Diplomate is eye-catching on the corner of 14th and Q street NW, where legendary resturateur Steven Starr of STARR Restaurants sought to transform an old laundromat into a truly authentic and stunning Parisian-inspired brasserie. WINMAR was the contractor of choice for Chef Star for realizing his vision of a corner cafe with a five-star menu.

The corner building was a historic preservation project that was awarded the District of Columbia Award of Excellence in Historic Preservation in Design + Construction for the magnificen design developed by Stokes Architecture and the construction by WINMAR.
