This project included renovations for two occupied residential buildings adjacent to The Wharf in SW Washington, DC. Our scope of work included extensive upgrades to the lobby and amenity spaces by improving the exterior entrance areas with LED lights in the portico, elevator cabs upgrades, installation of 3D paneling around the elevators, renovated the bathrooms that include Italian tiles and high end finishes, an electric fireplace, installation of a Nana Wall surrounded by modern wood beams with veneer and glass panels, the addition of a pet spa with Italian tiles, added ADA compliant water fountains and renovations to the mail room with new mail and parcel boxes for the tenants. Construction challenges included controlling foot traffic in the main lobbies of fully occupied buildings while under extensive construction. We worked closely with the property management team to ensure construction was coordinated in a manner that notified the tenants of upcoming work. We completed the project on time and on budget to deliver an high end design created by Axis Architects.
